We are seeking an energetic, skilled​ Milk Receiver for openings in our facility in Penn Yan, NY. This opportunity will require flexibility to work weekends and overtime.

 

Main Functions: Test and receive liquid goods within the company’s specifications prior to unloading. The employee must possess the ability to operate pumps, clean equipment, keep records and follow directions.

 

The expected compensation range for this position is: $20.00/hour + $.25 shift differential when worked.

Shift Times

Days: 3pm-11pm, Tuesday-Saturday

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities Related to the Job: 

  • Coordinate KanPak Quality activities and operations to meet objective for quality, food safety, integrity, regulatory compliances, cost, safety and customer satisfaction at KanPak
  • Participate in formulating and administering division’s short and long range goals and objectives for business growth
  • Responsible for working in a safe manner, supporting and adhering to all Safety policies, procedures and regulations
  • Responsible for working in a manner that adheres and supports all policies and procedures that support Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory requirements
  • Test and receive milk deliveries
  • Loadout cream, CIP Milk Tankers, CIP Line circuits, Test CIP
  • Change over silos and tanks
  • Complete all documents and charts as required
  • Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal guidelines regarding health and safety issues
  • Dedicate effort to safety
  • Follow all FDA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements
  • Responsible for monitoring and taking corrective actions when necessary for a critical control point as part of the plant HACCP plan
  • Ensure all documentation is done correctly and turned in properly
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Social Responsibilities:    

  • Maintain compliance with KanPak/GSF Code of Business Conduct, policies and procedures, management systems, and all applicable Environmental, Health, Safety and other regulations

Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Knowledge: 

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must obtain New York State Samplers License
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information
  • Must have basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Must be able to complete master sanitation work orders in a timely manner
  • Complete documentation of dates and levels accurately
  • Be an active participant in safety observation program
  • Must be able to work any shift as schedule is subject to change
  • Six months to one year in food industry experience
